Finnian grew up on Victoria's Surf Coast, picking up piano as a young kid, guitar in high school, then dj’ing —
aquiva tapes are an eclectic mix of our guests musical journeys. we sometimes request a theme or “what are you listening to in the shaping bay” but we just want an unfiltered list of music they are currently loving. each playlist is then arranged and mixed by aquiva / DJ_finnian whitla.

From our beginnings in Tasmania, Aquiva has set out to support the community through surf and music events, art, board design and ocean culture.

we have worked with some amazing brands and people over the years including vissla, save the waves, aint that swell, the goons of doom, pirate life, surf ears and all the crew at southarm boardriders, Tasmania.
our latest range of surfboards are currently being built at the glasslab. we now have the ability to utilise state of the art shaping machines while still providing handshaped surfboards by request. each board is built using the best materials by the most skilled work men and women on the coast.
